I had a lot of anxiety leading up to the 004 test because of the amount of content so I opted for 005. I've also resorted to CBT Nuggets for my other certifications (when available) and I can testify the same (when a course is not available, I'd check LinkedInLearning, which is still good but in some cases, might not be as engaging.ĭisclaimer: I've studied for version 004 but I took the 005 beta exam. In my opinion, I feel CBT Nuggets would be a better investment as it's very engaging and also makes the effort to make the massive amounts of material simplified and practical. I haven't tried Udemy's Linux courses but I've had terrible experiences with Udemy as courses I've purchased in the past were very dry and amateurish. The major topics are grouped so it never feels random and the instructor is very engaging. With that being said, CBTNuggets does a very good job explaining concepts. I've taken over 10 certification exams but Linux+ seemed to be the biggest volume of content I've ever studied furthermore, there was a lot of content that I was not able to commit to practice my first go from reading the Sybex book.
Usually I follow the readings with videos to get a visual and tactile summary of what I've studied as I'm more of a tactile learner. I took Linux+ back in January 2022, read the Sybex book and did CBT Nuggests.
